World Wide Web. It includes
gamers, hackers, crackers,
and phreaks.
Cyberpunk as a Subculture Cyberpunk escaped from being a literary genre into cultural reality. People started calling themselves cyberpunks, or the media started calling people cyberpunks.
Neuromancer Neuromancer by William Gibson, is the most famous early cyberpunk novel and won the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Memorial Award, and the Hugo Award after being published in 1984.
